Eden Faith

This little blessing is as good as gold. If she cries, she usually has a good reason. She's pushing 17 lbs already and is happy as she is chubby.

Eden came into my life during a very blissful and wonderful time. I wonder sometimes if my contentment and joy affects my children more than I know.

Today was one of those beautiful days. Everything made me laugh. Luke was actually warning me that such behavior is not always appropriate . . . like when he's trying to disciple or instruct the kiddos. But somethings just seem so funny to me . . . like Luke holding Eden on the coach while trying to instruct a three year old and 19 month old on picking up a nesting doll. It was totally not happening. Or Zeke saying, "huh?" every time I turn around. It's so sincere. If he doesn't understand or doesn't hear me I hear the "huh???" It's as automatic as his "thank you" has become. His "thank you" sounds Asian and he says it in some unique circumstances. (Like when Charis was standing on the puzzle he was trying to complete and I came in to see him pinching her calf and her hitting his head over and over. Her pony tail on the top of her head was bobbing as she vehemently slapped her balm down on his head over and over again. The whole scene made me laugh so hard I couldn't talk so I just picked Charis up. Zeke looked up at me, sighed deeply and said, "Oh! Thank you!"

Eden seems amused with their antics.

The Lord has blessed us beyond measure.

Practice thanksgiving until it is as natural as breathing . . . coming without much thought.

"I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at they right hand there are pleasures forevermore."

PSALM 16:7-11
