He must hear me say, "Zekiel, I like you" multiple times a day. He doesn't seem to get tired of hearing it . . . and being with him prompts me to say it a lot. He usually smiles when he hears these words and says, though jokingly, "Mommy, I like you."
We were packing up to go to the beach the other day and he started "working" on the van. Checking the tires out, the gas tank, "washing" it. He sees daddy taking care of the family in these ways and follows suit.
Some of his expressions make me laugh.
I grabbed the camera . . . though the stress of packing for the family excursion was pulling me. I wanted to remember what he was like at this age. After a few seconds I asked him to sit on the grass and we just talked about going to the beach. (He has been looking forward to this trip for a few months and would frequently ask "how many church days" . . . his way of counting the weeks . . . until we got to go). His expressions and excitement came out as we talked.
I love you, Zeke. Thanks for being my partner in work and in play.

Very sweet! What an awesome smile he has! :-)
What a boy! I love his personality and I'm glad that he "let" me go to the beach with him.
