What a Blessing

Well, the only reason that I'm even attempting to create a post right now is because I promised Kelci that I would. This is just to tide you over though cause I just got done working, I feel awful, I'm exhausted and I have to be at class tomorrow at 9am! Think I'm complaining? Read on!

As I was working tonight I was mentally complaining to myself. I had an order that was supposed to come in today that I was really excited about. I was majorly bummed when it didn't come. I woke up with a sore throat and felt like a semi truck had just run over my body for eight hours. Lovely way to start the day. Then I found out that my mom and I would be cleaning this office building alone tonight. yaya! That meant I got to haul this big heavy mop all over the joint and push around massive garbage bins. Usually the guys do all that stuff for me!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. So tonight I was sitting on the floor for a break all sweaty and gross and feeling awful anyway. As I was letting my mind wander, thoughts of persecuted Christians in other countries who were enduring incredible pain and suffering started flooding my mind. Man was I convicted. I felt so ashamed! I ended up praising God that the worst thing I had to do today was work hard, smell bad and not feel so great. It's so menial! What a blessing to have work by which I can make money. What a blessing to have my mom to work with me. What a blessing to have parents that love the Lord. What a blessing to live in a free nation. What a blessing to have eternal life! What on earth was I complaining about?!

So yeah, that was the lesson of the night. Basic, I suppose. It was a good reminder to me though. So next time you're down, start praying for those who are being persecuted. Then pray for the unsaved who are on there way to eternal hell without hope. If you’re not praising God by then…I don’t know what to say.

Well, hope everyone is happy with the quick update. God bless you guys.
