Freedom and Confinement

Somehow it wasn't hard to celebrate freedom while confined to these four walls yesterday. Just sitting down to think about the liberty I have in this nation caused my ungrateful and rotten attitude to turn grateful. I can pray, share the gospel, read the Bible, study...the list goes on. Frankly I'm not at all happy with the state of our government and this nation. Yet I cannot help but be grateful to God for His mercy in preserving our freedom.

Yet freedom is a responsibility. To whom much is given, much is expected. As a Christian, I have the ability and freedom to spread the gospel. Therefore, I'd better stop talking about it and do it! I've been given the liberty and right to vote. Therefore I'd better use the voice that I have to stand for truth and principle.

On a lighter note, Chris and I were talking about the cost of fire works. My word, it's crazy! Anyway, Chris jokingly commented that if Americans didn't buy fireworks for a few years we could pay off the national debt. To which I replied, "Nah, let's celebrate it instead." :) That bro of mine actually convinced me to climb up on the roof without a ladder in flip flops to watch the fire works! Crazy, I know. After about 3 minutes of feeling like fire work remains were going to fall on my head, I went inside. Ah, and I used to be the dare devil of the family! *raised eye brows*

Ah mano! I just got a call from my Driver's Ed teacher. She said that I won't be able to go to class while I'm contagious. :( Ah well, such is life.

Well I hope that the particular individual who wanted an update is happy. :)
Luv ya'll!
