Beach fun

I've been down at the beach most of this week with some extended family. I drove down with my grandpa and my stayed with my uncle and aunt at their cabin. It was neat to talk with my grandpa for the six hour round trip. I'm so blessed to have a grandpa that loves and follows the Lord. Everywhere I go with him he's witnessing to someone or praying for and with people. It's so encouraging. On the way down he asked me to read his Bible to him because he hadn't got his Scripture reading done before we left. I read four chapters to him and we talked about it. I just can't tell ya'll what a blessing that time was!

Once we were down at the cabin the guys worked on their project and my aunt and I hung out together. I actually broke quarantine and went shopping! My aunt got me hooked on Goodwill shopping. Here is a lady that lives in a three story home with an awesome view and a pool in the back yard. Yes, she shops at Goodwill! Talk about thrifty. Anyhow, I got two skirts for a grand total of $12! Now that's what I call good shopping. :)

Only two things went wrong during my three day trip. First of all, I never got to walk on the beach barefoot. That's one thing that I just crave all year long. I love to walk on the beach and fell the sand beneath my feet. It was too cold when I was down on the beach though. Oh well, I'll live. Second, I spilled coffee on my grandpa when I was driving his car because I accelerated too quickly! Talk about feeling bad! Oh my word, I just wasn't used to his car and it has a lot more power than what I'm used to. He understood though. *whew*

Well, tomorrow marks another Sunday where I won't be at church. I really miss the fellowship and encouragement that I always get there. Maybe I'll call a few people and talk to them tomorrow. I just need someone to hold me accountable the way Kattie does with her sweet smile and Mrs. Dickson does with her positive attitude. Ah, I miss my fam.
