laughing out loud

I was driving
Music was playing softly
I was letting my mind wander
But every thought seemed to motivate a praise to the Lord
Or a smile that I could not get off of my face
And I ended up laughing out loud for a while
All by myself
Just because

Sometimes Jacob and I act like children together
I consider my immaturity when I end up sitting on top of him
I pin his arms down to his sides, flip my hair over, and rub it in his face
He calls it "the hair treatment"
The dreaded torture of an older sister

Tonight he was imitating someone whom I greatly respect and he was doing it, just to induce more "hair treatment" upon himself
But for whatever reason, he was so animated about it . . .
We laughed until we were almost sick
I love his little giggle

After our fits of hysterical laughter we went up stairs and made every effort to convert to a serious mind set as we prayed together and went to bed. I can't wait to have children similar to him.

I love that kiddo.

Today has been beautiful.
