SET ME FREE FROM THIS WORLD

I feel trapped in this illusion called life
It is an experiential reality
It is not the reality of existence

I am bound to this earth by chains of preparatory living
I long for a life in the reality of eternity
Catch a glimpse. See His hand.

Seasons of fellowship leave me full of joy
It produces a thirst for more
It leaves me yearning for heaven

I want to evade the chains of my pride
I want to forever be free from this body of sin
I want to love my Savior outside the bounds of selfish love

He has left me here for a time
I drink in every foretaste of heaven
It leaves me with hope – the heartbeat of life

I want to warn those whom I love
I want to rejoice in grateful praise
For the reality of eternity approaches
