I command you! Be thankful!

I searched the Scriptures tonight for encouragement. I longed to read over words that would describe Jesus as my brother, God as my Father, and the Lord as my all-sufficient One. Those verses are there but my eyes did not fall on them. Psalm after Psalm of thanksgiving was brought before my eyes. Frustrated, I turned to the New Testament where Paul commanded, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful." A few verses later I read, "Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving."

Think God is trying to get a message across?? This is not some type of suggestion. God knows so much better than I. Whatever the circumstance, however overwhelming or confusing, we are commanded...be thankful!

As a side note: I think that I am slightly obsessed with all of these awesome pics of Chris and I. :)

Thanks for the comments guys!

Melzers - any hair gel works if you use enough of it. BUT I found some really awesome gel called "hair lotion"...I forget the brand. It REALLY works. In fact, the morning of the pics I used it for the first time. I came out of the bathroom after putting it in and my hair was SO curly...it was sticking straight out!! I was already freaking out before my bro saw me and went, "Oh my gosh! We have to leave in ten minutes and you look like a barbie!!" Anyhow! Curly hair is fun! :)
