Valuable Kitch

Ah, that title has like absolutely nothing to do with my post. I just love the word kitch so much. Actually, I'm not exactly sure if that is how you spell it. The first time I heard it was last Christmas when I was looking for a glass chess set for my bro. I asked this guy behind the counter if they had any glass chess sets. He was like, "Well, we have one but it's really kitchy.” Bascially, it was a piece of junk. So, now instead of saying that all those little shops in tourist areas have a bunch of junk in them, I simply say that they're full of kitch. As for my title, which describes kitch as valuable, I'm not sure why I wrote that. Anyhow...

This weekend was rather productive. I spent all day yesterday tearing off wall paper in the den (if you want to call it that) and then painting it. I've decided one thing, if I ever have my own home; I am avoiding the use of wall paper. What a pain it was! Pealing off wall paper takes forever and it's extremely tedious. By the time I was done my fingers ached from pealing and I smelled like apple cider vinegar. My dad was kind enough to help me with the painting and moving the furniture. I personally think that the finished product looks awesome. Some of my family members think that my red wall is a little loud. Hey, I think it's fun! Now I just need some rustic, patriotic looking pictures in there and the room will be simply beautiful!

Well, Lara told me to make this post random. Other than the title, there's nothing random about it. Sorry Larz, I tried. ;) I'll just spice it up with a picture of me and "my" horse from way back when.

Tomorrow I have the whole house to myself!!! yaya!! :-D I'll probably listen to one of Chris' law lectures. I'll go ahead and bore you by sharing my thoughts on it, ok? ;)

Have a good one.
