It's been a while

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like starting school again after a few weeks off? I just miss having that overwhelming feeling of getting a ton of things done and still having a ton of things to do. I just feel so productive during the school year. I love it. I love the stress of it, the difficulty of it and the satisfaction of it. Maybe I should become a professional student. ;-)

Anyway, since I have so much time it shouldn't be a problem to memorize the entire chapter of Psalm 91 before I leave for CA Sunday night. Yeah right! Memorization is NOT my strong point. But I really need to have this passage memorized and really chew on it so that I can lead devotions for the girls I'm teaching in CA at the conference. They're 12-15 years old...at a major turning point in their lives. So if you could just pray for me. Pray that God would give me grace and insight and use me to reach these girls. I feel really inadequate right now. So I could use your guy's prayers. Thanks!

My little brother Jacob broke his arm last Saturday. I feel bad for him but I must say that he looks darling in that little cast. *aww* And he's not suffering that badly; really! The last two days he's been sitting on the couch with his arm up (so that the swelling will go down) watching movies. Ah, I don't know what I would do without that little guy.

I don't know what I'd do without the big guy in this house either. Just in case ya'll didn't know it, I have the most awesome brother on earth. (I think I've mentioned that before :)) We can seriously talk about everything and nothing at all for forever. When he leaves for college I know that IM, blogs and email will never replace those late night talks. The ones where he lays across my bed talking in his typical deep voice that wakes the rest of the family. The ones where we solve the church's problems, America's problems, our family's problems and our own problems. We've laughed together, cried together, been frustrated together, talked together and been silent together. On a liter note, I've learned two things about my brother lately: 1. If you aren't 100% sure that you will take his fashion advice, then don't ask for it! 2. When he says that we're just going for a two mile walk, resist the temptation to wear flip flops. He may take a detour.

Alrighty, that's all for now! Smile big and decide to have an awesome day!

Oh, and I might not be going to CA now. I've accidentally been exposed to the chicken pox. :( I'm still praying that it'll work out.
