Beach Friends

Found this picture tonight and thought that it was adorable.

We were blessed with such a sweet time at the beach . . . the weather was beautiful. We enjoyed the beauty, our children, our family . . . the change of pace.

We've been home for a while now. Everything is still a disaster around me. It bothers me a little and yet I am learned when to let go. I sat on the floor this afternoon (though the untidy house was tempting to pull me away) working with Charis on counting and recognizing her numbers. It was just a joyful game to her and we both loved every minute of it. Zeke was talking about stop signs so I paused my laundry and talked to him about octagons and how to spell "stop" while we made a stop sign together. He went outside . . . made a road with chalk to ride his bike on and used the sign we had made. I knew that teaching him while he was interested and cultivating creativity in him was investing in who he would become. The laundry, as Luke would say, is all "just gonna burn someday." :-)

. . .

Spent thirty minutes talking to Jehovah Witnesses today. It's fun when someone shows up at my door and lets me witness to them. ;-) I usually don't get those opportunities at this stage in my life. I'm amazed at how false doctrine just is not logical. There are holes that need to be mystically explained away. In the end, nothing amazing happened. But they did seem puzzled in a few areas . . . enough to give me hope that a seed was planted. Praying for salvation for them . . .

He provides so faithfully . . . every everything.

Those girls are like night and day - so opposite. It is sweet to see them holding hands. Some day I'm sure they will be best friends! Love watching them grow and discover! Thanks for including us in your trip! We loved spending the time together! - Mom
