This Morning . . .

I love that grin
This is his "trying to analyze the camera" look

. . . it was beautiful. Just good quality baby time. We were both feeling tired - but I was trying to stick to the schedule regardless of how my body was protesting. That resulted in both of us falling asleep while I was feeding; and waking up an hour later. Oops. : )

But that extra hour of sleep made my baby mighty happy. We had quite the conversations.

It was also a sweet time with the Lord. I am amazed with what a personal interest He takes in me, often bringing the same Scripture passage to my attention multiple times through different means. It thrills me like nothing else to think that He knows me and every situation surrounding me . . . that He wants to give me direction . . . that He is pleased to use me (in spite of me!) to glorify Himself.

Luke bought me a new CD that I have had going a lot over the weekend. It is full of hymns and Scripture that has been put to music. Very reverent and worshipful. There is a refreshing version of Crown Him with Many Crowns that makes my mind wander to eternity . . . until I cannot get it off of my mind.

There are days when I selfishly long so much for the Lord to return. Oh, to know Him fully . . . not in earthly, human terms; not in relation to sin and suffering; not in contrast to darkness and evil - but just in perfect fullness. Oh, to worship Him with a perfect heart instead of one that is so prone to wander and lift its self up in pride. Oh, to just lay at His feet and be in His presence. Oh, to know how great a love He has for us and let it overwhelm us. The very thought of it . . .

Crown Him what many crowns
The Lamb upon His throne
Hark! How heavenly anthem drowns
All music but its own
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as they matchless King
Through all eternity

Crown Him the Lord of life
Who triumphed o'er the grave
Who rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save
His glories now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of years
The potentate of time
Creator of the rolling spheres
Ineffably sublime
All hail Redeemer hail
For Thou hast died fro me
Thy praise shall never, never fail
Through all eternity"
