I guess when my brother told me today that he checks my blog for pictures of Ezekiel each night when he gets back to his dorm after work . . . it gave me the extra ounce of motivation that I needed to sit down and get all of those pictures off the camera and write something. I feel tired . . . which probably means that I will write more than anyone wants to read. I apologize ahead of time for that. : )
This last week was full.
We made the decision mid week to move. Our house in Portland has been on the market for a little while now and our renters will be out tomorrow. From a financial standpoint, moving back there seemed like an obvious decision (avoiding significant taxes) . . . but there were other factors that made it more difficult. I am so grateful for a husband who takes each matter before the LORD - never rushing into a decision because of personal benefits or worldly wisdom. Well, *chuckles* I guess we wouldn't even be selling that house if we were going off of what makes "sense." It is so glorious to see how God works things out! How He often only gives you step by step direction . . . keeping us before Him, imploring His will at each level. He knows what it takes to keep us on our knees.
My lack of faith in the matter has been humbling. It struck me this week: I have put my trust in Christ for my eternal destiny. I am trusting in Him to save me from eternal hell. Yet, when it comes to decisions in this life, my faith often wavers. This life is but so fleeting and futile. How vain are our worries over temporal cares.
As far as packing goes . . . how many possessions can three people have?? Good grief. We are so spoiled beyond belief. If we had less material wealth it would make this earthly journey altogether lighter and non less enjoyable.
I am excited to see what happens . . . I'll post pictures of our new dwelling place in the next few weeks.

Thanks Chris for helping get new pictures posted!! I look for Ezekiel pictures everyday too :)
Maybe you've checked into it... but, I think you'll have to live in the house for 2 years before you avoid capital gains :(
O boy, he has his own little fan club, I guess ;-)
Thanks for posting Allison! I love seeing how you guys are doing. I have so little time that catching up on your blog for 10 minutes is a huge comfort and such a blessing.
Love you guys.
Keri - Thanks for the heads up. :) Luke lived there for a while after he first bought it so I think we'll be ok. Or at least that is what the IRS guy said when we called on it. Hope you are feeling ok still!! I am so so excited for you guys. You'll have to start a blog soon. :)
Chris - hope this busy week is going well for you. I'll try to be better about updating 'Zekiel's pictures so that you have some link to home. Although, come to think of it . . . I won't have internet pretty soon. Anyhow! Love and miss you!
