You are me

You are my rock
My life
My breath
My heart

How did I once live without You?
Was it merely a dream of existence?
How do others travel through this life without You?
For, You are my very breath.

How long, Lord until I see you face to face?
My selfish heart longs to be away from this world
I long for my home

While I linger I will throw myself on Your alter
I will glorify Your name through every breath.
Every word
Every deed
Every thought
Every work

You are more than my God.
You are me. Apart from You I am nothing.

How do you come up with that stuff? You should write a book, "proverbs, the vamped version".

Very nice piece and very true.

is this Josiah? I'll write the books . . . you come up with the titles. ;) On a more serious note: I love to write for fun but I am sure that I break every rule of grammar and composition in the book.
