Family and Friends and Pumpkin Patch Trends

This past Saturday was filled with going to a pumpkin patch with my family, my best friend and her little brother. I happen to be doing my friend’s Senior pictures and (because we have the entire year to plan) I thought it would be neat to get some rustic/country type photos. This turned out to be one of the best photos shoots that I have been able to do. We had an absolute blast!

The change of seasons reminds me of God's faithfulness through different seasons of life. He takes us through the summers where life is smooth and everything seems to be going beautifully. During other times, we can anticipate the sharp cold of winter and yet He prepares our heart through an autumn season. I have learned a lot about "spiritual autumn times" lately. I anticipated pain when Chris decided to attend BJ in South Carolina. I knew that losing my best friend was going to hurt. But God is SO good! He gives us the grace to say, "Thank you Lord for what has been and what is to come." Praise Him for His sovereign hand in every season of life!

That is a great analogy! I always seems to think that I'm in the cold, winter portion of my life, but I just need to deal with it. I think it's just a part of "growing up."
