IPS

These are a couple of fun shots from this past week. I was in Olympia at a photograph course through IPS (Institute in Photography Studies). The group picture was such a fun shot. I never thought the whole idea would work and everyone was ecstatic when it did.

The train track/graffiti shots were paid for with the high price of pain after stepping into a yellow jacket nest. Don't ask...

I was wondering what those were. How in the world did that group pic work? Yellow Jackets? Ouch!

Hey Ash - The group pic...we got a completely dark room. Set my camera up on a tripod with a really slow shutter speed (about 30 seconds). We had two guys with remote flashes who flashed our individual poses in the back. We then ran to the front, posed as they flashed us again and the shutter went down. The camera didn't pick up the motion of us running to the front because of the darkness of the room with a very slow shutter speed. So! That gave us the two posses in the same picture. It was crazy though, trying to get it all done in 30 seconds. Too much fun!

Thanks lara! Yeah, I had an amazing amazing time. :)

Hey! I hope the pics were worth the price. I was a bit worried when you didn't call me back right away...
I remember someone once saying "The worst they can do is sting you." hehe...
I'm so glad you had a good time! And I'm especially glad you got some new ideas for my senior pics next year ; ) !!!
