Exam results

Finally! Never in my life has 10 days been so long. I received my exam results from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Seattle. I must admit that I'm somewhat disappointed. I had a range for my goal score and I made my goal....barely! They gave me first class honors for the practical section and first class honors with distinction for my theory. I guess that confirms the fact that I don't play well under pressure.

I'm not totally depressed like I was with my last exam. I'm just kind of disappointed in myself. On the bright side, it's over and I learned a lot through the whole situation. I do want to say "thank you" to everyone that prayed for me, encouraged me, and listened to me when I was freaking out about it!

I've also officially decided not to go on in this method. (I made this decision before I received my results :)) Yes, I do have method to my madness. For theory requirements, I would be forced to take classes from the community college. That would totally tie down the "flexible" school year that I had planned out for my junior year. Also, the certification I would receive is not as credible in the U.S. as what I originally thought. (My mom's suggestion to this problem was to move to Canada! *coughs*) Anyway, I'll continue with music studies in other ways. Besides improving my sight reading and accompaniment abilities I'm ready to start having fun with my music. :)

As for the rest of life, Chris is finally 18. I just keep telling myself that I have a whole year with him before he leaves for college. :) On his birthday we went and hung out together at the mall. It was great to just talk, walk around and argue about shirt and tie combos. :-D

Ok, off to do some homework. :)

As for this whole clown deal...um...yikes. I can't even believe that I considered it for one second. I know everyone at that recital and everyone would know that it was me! (I'm not denying your face painting abilities) So, no. Not unless the pay is something to write home about. :-D
